Yesterday was a most excellent day full of food and laughter and temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Woke up at a decent hour, did my shopping and errands, and finally settled in at my friend’s house for a full-blown tea party. She and her boyfriend outdid themselves–preparing twelve dishes, six savory and six sweet snacks. I think the final tally of eggs used was something like 70 eggs. That’s more than 5 dozen eggs to make custard, deviled eggs, and they even used quail eggs in one of the savory entrees. The food was so good!
(My savories plate.) On the bottom is my friends’ variation on the scotch egg. Theirs uses a quail egg, spicy sausage, and panko crumbs.
All in all a very good day for relaxing, enjoying good company, and practicing photography.
Shirt: old Gap 1969 Denim Puff Sleeve Blouse
Shorts: Gap striped jersey shorts
Shoes: Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole “Gabby” in pewter
NB: I wear the same shoes almost every day. I really need to think of other flat/low profile shoes for just loafing around town. These Gentle Souls Gabbys are just too darn comfortable though, no toe pinching!
